Product knowledge modeling:

Product knowledge is captured by SiberSafe Definer as a formal semantic web-enabled model in W3C industry-standard format, providing a machine-readable representation of a product's defining concepts. SiberSafe Definer can automatically generate product requirements specifications, testing/acceptance criteria, feature lists, and more, and also draft product documentation such as user manuals and training materials. Each element of the product knowledge model is dynamically linked to the design and/or product documentation that references it so, if an underlying feature or requirement changes, that change is reflected in specifications and associated test scripts, automatically notified to the technical documentation team, and so on. Knowledge modeling streamlines the transfer of product information between all team members and ensures its accuracy and completeness – dramatically accelerating the product knowledge lifecycle.

Content/document management:

Built for collaboration, SiberSafe Definer's robust and feature-rich content management technology takes care of access control, versioning, revision history, and much more, ensuring full traceability of product changes for corporate compliance. Tight integrations with a variety of popular, industry-standard authoring and publishing tools provide a straightforward way to customize the look and feel of both design and user documentation, which the product team can efficiently create, share and maintain from one single source.

Publishing:

SiberSafe Definer delivers a flexible XML-based single-source publishing framework which enables both design documentation and user documentation to be output to multiple target formats such as PDF, HTML, PPT, SCORM, and an innovative online or CD-ROM based Knowledge Base.

Support for conditional inclusion means that documentation can be tailored and published on-the-fly for a specific audience, and pipeline transformations ensure that the appearance of the published document is accurate.
